KBN Secures Not Guilty Verdict in Sex Crime Trial

/

Criminal Defense Attorneys at Koffel Brininger Nesbitt recently secured a Not Guilty verdict on behalf of a client who had been facing serious sex crime allegations involving a minor.

The case stems from a 3-year investigation of our client involving the alleged molestation of a young girl from the early 2000’s. Prosecutors ultimately brought charges, and the case proceeded to a jury trial.

In preparation of our client’s defense, we retained one of the world’s leading experts in false memory. To support the state’s case, the Prosecution called an expert psychologist on grooming and delayed disclosures. The Defendant did not testify.

As a result of our work and collaboration with our expert, the jury sided with our client and returned a Not Guilty verdict on all counts in less than one hour (State of Ohio vs. G.A., 2020).

Koffel Brininger Nesbitt has earned national recognition for our work protecting the freedoms and futures of clients facing life-altering criminal charges, including alleged sex crimes. Though often subject to scrutiny and severe penalties, all criminally accused have a right to be treated innocent until proven guilty, and to defend themselves against the government’s claims against them. KBN works tirelessly to protect these rights.
