Eight
Franklin County Common Pleas judges are facing challengers this election season. The challengers
are for judicial seats in the court’s general division. There is
also one spot up for grabs on the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court bench.
The incumbents who are facing challengers for the Franklin County Common
Pleas court general division are:
- Laurel Beatty
- Kimberly Cocroft
- Richard A. Frye
- Mark A. Serrott
- Michael J. Holbrook
- Julie M. Lynch
- Pat Sheeran
The current judge for the Domestic Relations/Juvenile Court division is
Kim Browne, who is also facing a challenger. There is only one Franklin
County Common Pleas judge who is not facing any opposition, yet at least,
and that is Colleen O’Donnell.

Things can change rapidly in this type of race, largely due to fundraising
efforts. Koffel Brininger Nesbitt will enthusiastically support all of the
incumbents to keep their seats, and we will actively fundraise for them.
