February was the wrong time to go out looking for prostitutes in Columbus, OH.
The Columbus Division of Police’s (CPD) Vice Section conducted a series of prostitution reversals in the first week of February. They arrested 77 men for soliciting sex, among other charges.
According to the CPD, they filed 130 criminal charges and seized $6,395 from the prospective clients, or “johns”, after they offered the money in exchange for sexual services.
“We will continue to conduct such operations to reemphasize the message that Columbus does not condone this activity within its borders,” said Lt. Ron Kemmerling-CPD’s Vice supervisor.
This operation follows on the heels of a successful 2016 campaign by the CPD’s Vice Section, when officers arrested 600 people for soliciting sex.
