The 6-Pack with DaveMan to discuss recent developments in the re-opening of Columbus businesses.
As discussed on the show, Columbus Public Health has released new Operating
Guidelines for restaurants and bars as they look to open up facilities
for indoor drinking and dining following last week’s opening of
outdoor patio service.
Among the guidelines are mandatory requirements for:
- At least 6 feet of distance between tables;
- A 10-person maximum per table;
- All patrons to be seated at tables for eating and drinking;
- Employee face coverings (with the exception of employees working fryer
and grill lines); - Providing handwashing and sanitizing products in common areas;
- Ensuring social distancing in lines to enter a business, even if it extends
beyond a restaurant’s property;
As Attorney Brad Koffel explains, these rules are just a few of many in
the ever-evolving landscape of COVID-19 regulation – a problem that’s
caused confusion among many business owners looking to comply with moving
goal-post guidelines in order to re-open their businesses. Many are also
concerned about the added obligations of compliance with overbroad and
vague regulations.
