Former Heisman trophy winner and Ohio State Buckeye quarterback Troy Smith pleaded not guilty to impaired driving and marijuana possession charges. Koffel Brininger Nesbitt is representing Mr. Smith in the matter.
According to the officers, Mr. Smith's vehicle was missing a front license plate and was swerving. The charges claim Mr. Smith failed the field sobriety tests and blew a 0.143% on the breathalyzer. The case is continued until April 20.
Mr. Smith's driver's license suspension received a stay allowing him to drive in the meantime.
