Black tar heroin is a new type of heroin that has emerged recently. Just yesterday, police announced that they had broken an international drug smuggling ring that involved 44 pounds of heroin. Black tar heroin is cheaper and easier to access that even some prescription drugs and "regular" heroin. Attorney Brad Koffel appeared on this broadcast. He said that he has begun to notice more and more people from affluent suburban neighborhoods in Ohio addicted to black tar heroin. Koffel said that Columbus could be turning into a distribution hub for the Midwest for this type of narcotic specifically. Koffel and his law firm are interested in taking on these types of cases to not only defend those accused of heroin and other narcotic offenses, but to encourage rehabilitation to kill addiction avoid repeat offenses.
