Attorney Brad Koffel continues his discussion on the DNA bill that would allow DNA swabs to be collected from individuals arrested and charged with felony offenses. Mothers of murdered young women appeared on this broadcast, stating that the passage of this bill could potentially save many lives. At the time of this broadcast, the had already passed the Senate. 21 other states already have similar DNA testing laws for people arrested for felonies. Even supporters of the DNA tests agree that this law is not only about finding and convicting the guilty, but also about exonerating the innocent. Attorney Brad Koffel appeared on this broadcast. He said that, while the law is constitutional, it could create a slippery slope. Koffel says this could create a "nation of suspects."
